Reini co-founded Wigand Integrated Wealth with his son, Sam, in 2020. Together, they have created a distinctive independent firm that allows them to apply their significant experience to provide the elevated quality of service their clients deserve.

Reini provides oversight for the firm’s Wealth Management Process, as well as leading Investment Research and Portfolio Management. He also brings specialized knowledge to relationships with nonprofit organizations, helping them manage endowment and foundation assets effectively and in adherence to legal and governance best-practices.

Previously, Reini worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, from 1997 through 2020, recently serving as Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Resident Director of the Colorado Springs office. He assisted both individual and institutional clients with developing and executing their wealth planning and investment strategies.  His work included retirement, education and estate planning, portfolio management, pension planning, investment policy development, and investment manager selection. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Reini was instrumental in growing, and ultimately selling, his family’s woodwork manufacturing business, The Wigand Corporation.

Reini has earned both professional and academic recognition rarely attained in the financial services industry.  While at Merrill, he received numerous awards recognizing both the quality of his work for his clients and his contributions to the growth of the office.  These accomplishments came partly through an uncommon level of commitment to lifelong career education, having been awarded a number of the industry’s most demanding and advanced designations.  These include the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA), the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®(CAP®), and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor®(CPWA®) designations. This combination of certifications, along with his experience and academic background, provides Reini with a unique skill set among financial professionals, enabling him to design and execute truly comprehensive wealth management plans.

Reini received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Denver, and his MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he was recognized as the “Outstanding Graduate Student in Finance.”

Reini also demonstrates a clear commitment to philanthropy through a number of non-profit charitable and trade organizations, having served on several committees and boards, including the Pikes Peak United Way Finance Committee and Board of Trustees and the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Accounting and Finance Advisory Board. He is also a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society of Colorado; the Architectural Woodwork Institute; and the Investments & Wealth Institute™.

Reini and his wife Jane have been blessed with three children—Jill, Sam, and Brooke—and three grandchildren -- John Luke, William and Leighton. Reini is an enthusiastic runner and has completed three marathons —including one with his youngest daughter Brooke. When he is not training, he enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, and making pies for friends and family.
