His expertise spans budgeting, cash flow management, savings strategies, investment management, insurance solutions, tax optimization, estate planning, education planning, debt management, employee benefits, corporate structure, and retirement planning. Moreover, Ryan is fueled by a passion for integrating coaching within financial planning. By collaborating closely with clients, he fosters strong relationships and conducts thorough assessments to comprehend their values, passions, fears, and financial objectives. Through thought-provoking coaching inquiries, he challenges clients' perspectives, all while providing unwavering support and encouragement to propel them toward desired results.
Prior to his tenure at Wigand Integrated Wealth, Ryan enjoyed a decade-long partnership with Reini as part of the team at Merrill Lynch. However, his professional journey embarked on an unconventional path when he left the financial industry to explore educational and entrepreneurial ventures. Ryan began his career as an Air Force officer, excelling in various leadership and technical roles in the Communications and IT field. In recent years, Ryan's pursuit of a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Leadership paved the way for a successful career as an executive leadership coach to senior leaders, including numerous C-suite executives and military general officers. Notably, Ryan also founded a multimillion-dollar eCommerce business, which remains a thriving family endeavor.
Ryan's academic accolades are impressive, including a double major in Economics and Operations Research, with a minor in Mathematics, earned at the United States Air Force Academy. He furthered his education by obtaining a master's degree in business administration from the University of West Florida and completing Ph.D. coursework (ABD) at the University of the Rockies. His commitment to professional development is evident through his completion of CFP® educational requirements at Oklahoma City University. Beyond this, Ryan's coaching training equipped him with certification and expertise in numerous personality assessments and coaching instruments.
Community service and volunteerism hold significant importance for Ryan. His contributions include serving as an officer on the local chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) board, the local USAFA graduate chapter board, and recently as President for the Colorado Springs Area Swimming (COSA) foundation. He has also dedicated time to finance committees for his church and his children's schools.
Ryan, along with his wife, Debbie, resides in Colorado Springs with their two daughters, Zoe and Allie. The family leads an active lifestyle, balancing their involvement in children's swimming activities with their commitment to raising service puppies for Freedom Service Dogs of America. Their leisure activities encompass camping, lakeside getaways, and enjoying their recreational property near the lake in Walsenburg, CO. In his free time, Ryan enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and embracing the diverse outdoor adventures that Colorado has to offer.
